Are you ready for a wonderfully relaxing glamping weekend among the alpacas? At Alpaca Hoogstraten, you can unwind in a magical setting. Come slow down in the heart of nature and spend the night in our cozy and stylish lodge tent(s). Gather your own firewood for a barbecue and a campfire, and admire the sunset from your terrace. Wake up to complete silence and watch the sun rise among the grazing alpacas.

Did you know there are only two glamping tents on the entire farm? So your main neighbors are our alpacas, mini-donkeys, sheep, and dogs.

Glamping comes in all shapes and sizes. Our alpaca glamping is for those who love nature, peace and quiet, the great outdoors, and a touch of adventure—with just a little extra comfort. A setting that’s perfect for daydreaming, without the hassle of setting up and furnishing your own tent. You’ll stay in a cozy, well-appointed tent with a patio right outside your door and a view of the forest or the animals, and we’ll take care of all the major practical details so you can fully immerse yourself in the great outdoors.

You can choose to have your beds made and/or towels provided, or you can bring your own bedding and bath linens. Other than that, the amenities are simple and functional: you’ll find cutlery and dishes in your tent; you can cook on a barbecue tray; gather your own firewood on the property; or buy firewood on-site. YOUR ROOM

You’ll find a modern 14 m² glamping bell tent with a luxurious air mattress that makes you feel like you’re sleeping on clouds. The tent features a screen door and ventilation windows, a wood-fired fire/barbecue tray, a picnic bench, and a patio lounge. Inside the tent, you’ll find an electrical outlet, Wi-Fi, and a lock.

The restroom facilities are nearby: a natural open-air shower with hot water (gas water heater) in the adjacent meadow and a toilet with a sink in the barn, a 20-meter walk away.

On the property, there are two 14 m² glamping tents side by side with a shared terrace.

A STRESS-FREE STAY

We’ll take care of everything you need to arrive feeling relaxed. That way, you can fully enjoy the great outdoors.

All you need to bring are your favorite food and drinks, your bathroom essentials, slippers, warm clothes for the evening, and, if you’d like, your own bed and bath linens. That’s it—so pack light!

Want to add some extra ambiance? You’re welcome to gather your own firewood on the property—a lovely moment to slow down a bit before enjoying the fire. Firelighters and a lighter are provided in your tent.

ABOUT THE ANIMALS

The glamping tents are located in the back pasture on the expansive grounds of Alpaca Hoogstraten, 2 hectares of nature home to more than 40 animals. During your stay, you’ll have a view of our alpacas grazing in their pastures. The tents are located in a separate pasture.

If you’d like to get to know the animals up close, feed them, or take them for a walk, you can book an alpaca experience as an add-on to your overnight stay. You’re only allowed to enter the animal pastures under our supervision.

Our own dogs roam freely on the property to help protect the alpaca herds. They’re super friendly and will undoubtedly come by for some company, but they’re not used to other dogs. For this reason, pets are not allowed.

HOUSE RULES

To keep our property in top condition, we kindly ask that you leave the tent tidy.

During your stay:

Always close the gates immediately after passing through.
Do not enter the tent with shoes or slippers. Leave them on the doormat.
Use only biodegradable products and help take care of the pasture where our animals graze.
Use all amenities as you would at home.
Follow the instructions for using the shower.
Respect the peace and quiet on the property, for the sake of other guests and animals.

After your stay:

Bedding may remain on the bed.
Gather used towels on the floor inside the tent.
Rinse used dishes and leave them under the awning by the barn.
Put trash in the trash can.

Want to really get to know the alpacas? Then start your stay with an alpaca tour: you’ll learn all about these special animals, get to feed them, and go for a walk with them. After the tour, you’ll know exactly what you can and can’t do around the animals, so you can still access the animal pastures for the rest of your stay.

Prefer to just “be,” with no plans and no alpaca activities? Just let nature wash over you, admire the animals from a distance, and enjoy an extraordinary stay. Please note: you will not interact with the animals. It is not permitted to enter the animal pastures, feed the animals, or approach them without a prior activity and without a guide.
